Japanese LaTeX documents use the same LaTeX commands in the standard Linux distributions. Specify the documentclass as jarticle
In the example below, jvim is used with canna and kinput2 to produce a Japanese LaTeX document.
The jlatex source must be compiled into dvi files with the jlatex command. The dvi files can be viewed with Japanese xdvi or converted into PostScript with Japanese dvi2ps. In the example below, xdvi is being used to view the Japanese document that was compiled in the previous example. Fonts are smooth and easily readable.
