Introduction
All Linux lovers, and supporters of open source code and free software, in the Kanto area (or anywhere else) are invited to attend the next Tokyo Linux Users Group meeting. Membership is open to anyone. There are currently no membership dues or entrance fees.
TLUG meetings are traditionally small and unstructured (VERY CASUAL). Most of the benefit of the meeting comes from chatting with other Linux users and having informal discussions.
As a general rule, the Technical Meetings are held on the 2nd Saturday of odd-numbered months and the Nomikai Meetings are usually held on the 2nd Friday of even-numbered months. There are, of course, exceptions to this rule, so it is best to keep an eye on the mailing list, or check back here for date/venue changes as the date approaches.

How things are routed on the Internet (by Curt Sampson)
Do you want to know where and how your packets are routed across the Internet? Curt will explain this, based on actual data you bring in.
Before you come to the meeting, run
traceroute login.worldoftanks.asia
and we will go through the list of names and IP addresses that come up and compare what's happening in your Internet connection with that of other TLUG members.
Depending on interest, we might delve quite deep in to the details of either or both of Internet routing and how your host processes packets internally once they've been received.
Ethereum: The unstoppable decentralized world computer that's going to kill us all (by Edmund Edgar)
Edmund will talk about what Ethereum is and how you can use it to write fully-verifiable decentralized applications that don't need a server and can't be shut down.
