TLUG will have a booth at Open Source Conference 2026 Fall in Asakusa, handing out TLUG-themed items and offering Linux installation assistance (an “Installfest”). The conference hosts many open source booths and presentations. Drop by to enjoy the event, or help out at the booth.
The conference is on the 6th floor of the Taito Building and admission is free. Please register on connpass as either a booth volunteer or just visiting so we know who to expect. The conference also runs a mini stage of short talks, with a live stream planned.
Installfest
Bring a machine you would like Linux installed on and we will help you get it running. Please back up anything important beforehand.
The venue Wi-Fi is shared with every other booth and is not reliable, so bring your installation media on a USB stick if you have a particular distribution in mind. Do not count on downloading it at the venue.
For booth volunteers
- Setup starts at 08:30, when the hall is unlocked and tables and chairs are arranged. Exhibitor reception and booth preparation run from 09:00 to 10:00.
- Bring a power strip with your name on it. The venue provides enough power for one or two laptops per booth, and loaner strips are limited.
- Everything has to be hand-carried on the day. The venue cannot receive shipments in advance.
- Teardown runs from 16:00 to 17:00, and the hall must be empty by 17:00.
After the conference
OSPN hosts an after-party from 17:30 to 19:30 at Uotami Asakusa Okuyama Omairimachi, about eight minutes’ walk from the venue. It costs ¥4,000 (¥2,000 for students with ID, or ¥5,000 if you would like to sponsor a student), payable at the OSC reception desk by 15:00. Places are limited and advance registration is required.
