“Hackerspaces Are Everywhere, Including Tokyo!” by Matthew (Karamoon)
A hackerspace is a group of hackers/techies/geeks/artists who set up a physical space in order to explore technology and create projects and tools together. There are more than 300 hackerspaces around the world, the newest of which has just opened in Tokyo. This talk will cover the worldwide hackerspace movement, focusing on Tokyo's two hackerspaces “4nchor5 la6” and “The Tokyo Hackerspace”. Time allowing, two 10-minute videos about hackerspaces and their projects will be shown.
